KTL is a moderate low-budget indie feature filming in/around Dallas for 20 days between May 18-June 23. They are seeking folks who can work as nonunion DALLAS LOCALS to join the production team.
All crew must be Texas residents, live locally, and have access to reliable transportation to self report to set in Dallas. They also welcome applicants to share a bit about themselves with us, including military veteran status.

Crew rates are expected to pay between $225-300/12 with meals and credit provided. At the moment they anticipate a Monday - Friday schedule (possibly one Saturday). Production does not work on Memorial Day. As a small production, they are excited to offer opportunities to crew members looking to level up and learn new skills while working on a really fun and compelling script, so please take a swing and submit even if you’re not a perfect fit for a role. More positions will be opening up shortly.
LINE PRODUCER - experienced Dallas local line producer. Will work with and be supported by a highly experienced supervising producer as needed to assist with things like payroll, budget tracking and cost reports, incentive tracking and more. Willing to support folks moving into features from commercials, shorts, TV etc (or leveling up from PM) even if the skillset is not a one to one match. Should have a fair amount of production experience and be excellent with finances, communication, logistics, and record-keeping. 4 weeks prep starting o/a April 13th; 20 shoot days and 1 wrap week.
PRODUCTION MANAGER/COORDINATOR - experienced in one or the other (or both) roles. Familiarity with payroll or willing to train on a very user friendly system. Should have a fair amount of production experience and be excellent with finances, communication, logistics, and record-keeping. Call sheets, etc. 3 weeks prep starting o/a April 20th; 20 shoot days and 3 wrap days.
PAs/DRIVERS - clean driver’s license. Please note experience and comfort level driving 1) trucks up to 16’ and 2) passenger vehicles. Should be able to lift up to 40 pounds and be willing to work as set PA’s in addition to driving vehicles. Works approximately 5/15 - 6/23.
PRODUCTION DESIGNER - experienced production designer used to working with a small team, overseeing all aspects of art department (set dec/dress, props, etc). This is a really fun script and a cool creative opportunity. As a small film, we welcome folks who like to get their hands dirty, who love mixing story and style, and who are great at sourcing/fabricating. Prep start approximately April 27th + shoot and wrap.
COSTUME DESIGNER - experienced costume designer used to working with a small team and managing a mix of purchases, rentals and actor wardrobes. Good eye for continuity (as it relates to wardrobe). Prep start approximately May 4th, plus shoot and wrap.
CASTING ASSOCIATE (TRAINING POSITION) - we are seeking someone interested in supporting the casting process for a flat stipend rate of $1000 and on-the-job training in the SAG casting process. If you are organized, great with handling scheduling, and communication, we’d be thrilled to have you join us. This role starts on a part time, remote basis early next week and will continue on a part time basis for a few weeks. Ideally, we would love someone who is interested in sitting in on callback auditions at a Dallas studio as well and assisting with that process for a few days and who would be interested in learning the backend of the union casting process as well (for example filing Taft-Hartleys, if needed, and processing cast clearances). We are open to discuss the details of this role.
